My Downtown Kudos · Udaipur
Eighteen rooms on Trident Road, beside Chunda Palace, with a rooftop restaurant and bar looking over the old city.
The house
My Downtown Kudos stands on Trident Road in Haridasji ki Magri, the low ridge that separates Fateh Sagar from the lanes of the old city. Carved wood, deep headboards, herringbone floors and walls in green and oxblood: a small hotel that reads more like a haveli than a chain.
Eighteen rooms across four types, a rooftop for dinner, and the lake, the palaces and the ghats within a short drive. Breakfast is served upstairs, and the front desk is staffed all day.

Four rooms. Tall windows, a longer desk, a lounge chair, and the same deep-green calm — the room to take if you like to work with the city in the frame.
Three rooms. A little wider than the Executive, with a sitting corner, a bigger wardrobe and a marble bathroom.
Two suites. Louvred windows onto the greenery, a separate sitting area, and a free-standing soaking tub in a terracotta-tiled bathroom.
All rooms are air-conditioned with free WiFi, a TV, a work desk, an en-suite bathroom and daily housekeeping. Family rooms are available.
Book nowThe top floor is the restaurant. A terrace open to the sky, a dining room with the city along its windows, and a bar that turns pink after dark.
The kitchen cooks Indian, Chinese, local Rajasthani and international dishes: a breakfast buffet in the morning, brunch and high tea through the afternoon, dinner late into the evening. The old city and the palace on the hill sit in the frame from most tables.
